James J. Szampias, 57, of Mentor, died at his home Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010. He was born April 3, 1952, in Cleveland. Jim worked as a millwright for Lincoln Electric in Euclid for 27 years. Jim was a car enthusiast, but his greatest joy was being with his family. He is survived by his parents, Mary and Stephen Szampias; brothers, Stephen (Jane) and Philip (Diane); sisters, Carol Lasmanis and Cheryl (Harry) Crofoot; former wife, Debbie Szampias; and many nieces and nephews.
