Larry Allan Lawrence of Elizabeth, Indiana passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at the age of 67. He was born October 21, 1951, in Vermillion, South Dakota, to Wilbert and Geralda Lawrence.
He was preceded in death by his parents and youngest brother, Lee Lawrence.
Larry is survived by his brother, Les Lawrence, his children, William Lawrence, Scott Lawrence, Jessica Bibb, Robin Bayless, Kim Wallingford and Brenda Thrower, his 13 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
He was raised in Ohio and graduated from North High School in 1970. Larry went on to serve in the United States Army from 1971-1979, then worked at Naval Ordinance and retired from BAE in 2011.
Larry will be remembered by his family and friends who loved and respected him. He spent his life doing what he loved with the people he loved. He was a man of many talents and never encountered a problem or challenge that he couldn’t solve whether building furniture, a barn, a house, an engine, painting a mural on a vehicle, or creating a work of art in stained or etched glass. He could be counted on day or night for good advice (wanted or not), a beer, a laugh, and to be there for the good times and the bad. Larry was loved and admired by so many and he will be greatly missed.
