In loving memory of Roy Lorenz Keifer, age 64, who died on May 12, 2017.
Born July 18, 1952 in Cleveland, Ohio, Roy grew up in Timberlake with Lake Erie in his family's backyard. He returned to his parents' home in 2007 to take care of his mom.
Roy graduated from North High School in 1970 and Valparaiso University in 1974 with a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering. He worked for Honeywell and lived in Chicago for more than 30 years.
Known for his intelligence and far-reaching knowledge, generosity, love of dogs, wildlife, and sports, and as a tournament winning dart and chess player, Roy's elaborate stories of everyday events made life remarkable. His greatest joy was to help others and to contribute to their happiness.
