Dale Duca

Dale died April 1, 2023 at Hospice House in Cleveland. The family will receive friends to celebrate Dale's like from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, April 43, 2023 at the Brunner Sanden deitrick Funer Home & Cremation Center 8466 Mentor Ave.,  Mentor.

Dale worked various positions throughout his career at the Cleveland Clinic. His hobbies were touring the country on his motorcycle in which he achieved 1,000 miles in one day multiple times to complete the ‘Ironbutt’ challenge. He enjoyed happy family time, especially with his grandson Dax. He was a participant of the church soft ball league as the member of the “Red team”, in which he forged life long bonds. Later in life, Dale discovered the joy of JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard) which greatly enriched his life after ruining screws for 40+ years. Dale along with his youngest son Dan, enjoyed going to motorsports events and rocket launches while visiting Florida.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Duca; children, David M. (Dr. Elizabeth Douglas) Duca, and Daniel S. Duca; grandchild, Dax Duca; and his sister, Melody (Harry) Randolph.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mary Alice Duca; and his brother, John Reidiger.

"We are honored that his family asked us to take his ashes and spread them in some of his favorite riding areas in West Virginia, they said he often spoke fondly about those rides. We are also going to keep a very small vial of Dale’s ashes with us on our motorcycle so he can continue to be with us on our motorcycling adventures."
