Reunion postponed until 2021
As always, we hope that all of you and your families are doing well, and are safe and healthy during this Corvid-19 crisis. It is with heartfelt sorrow, that it has been decided to postpone our 50th reunion that was scheduled for September 2020. Due to these uncertain times and the responses from the survey, the committee decided that this would be the best thing to do. Our main goal was to provide a successful evening on September 26, 2020. Covid-19 pulled the rug right out from under us. However, the special significance of a 50th reunion still remains. The health and safety of the 1970 graduating class, their families and others outweigh a 50th reunion during these conflicting, difficult times.
Thank you to all who responded to the survey. Fifty-six people took the survey. The majority (55%) voted to postpone to 2021. In addition, 9% stated that they would not attend due to Covid-19. Many of you provided additional comments, and those comments helped us with this difficult decision.
We will now begin the process of rescheduling for 2021. We are working with the American-Croatian Lodge in Eastlake for a new date. When we have a date confirmed, we will provide that information to you. Our hope is to have a great reunion next year without all the current constraints. We will be able to shake hands, hug, tell stories, and have a really good time.
To those of you who have sent checks, we have not cashed them. Chris Ripple (Sinkovec) will contact you.
If you have any questions, suggestions or concerns, please feel free to contact us via the website. Or you can private message any of us (Caryn Mueller, Char Estep, Tim South, Chris Ripple or Doug Gilchrist) via the Classmates Profiles page on the website. We will be glad to hear from you.
Hope to see you at our reunion next year. Be Safe... Stay Safe!
