Roger A. Sparling, 53, of Pensacola, Fla., went to be with the Lord after a long battle with cancer on Saturday, August 12, 2006, at his home surrounded by family and loved ones.

Roger is survived by his wife Rita; 3 children, John S. Sparling of Eastlake, Ohio, Reilly K. Sparling of Cleveland, Ohio, and Suzanne Sparling of Lakewood, Ohio; stepson, Brandon Bogan (Ashley) of Westfield, Ind.; granddaughter, Alexis Elizabeth Bogan; his mother, Thelma Sparling of Eastlake, Ohio; brother, Ross Sparling (Sheila) of Brunswick, Ohio; and sister, Robin Hommel (Willy) of Mentor, Ohio.
